Travel expenses

Pineto Taaldiensten is located in Amsterdam. A lesson at your home is possible if you live in or near North Holland. In that case there are no travel costs. If you live further away, for example in Utrecht or The Hague, and would still like to take a lesson at your home or work, there will be some travel costs. We can look at this together. It is always possible to take the lesson via video calling.

How much for the books?

Most course books cost 40 to 50 euros. A separate course book is often available for each language level. There is a book for the beginning to A2, a second book for A2 to B1 and a third book for B1 to B2.

Good dictionaries cost 30 to 50 euros. You often need two dictionaries. For example, Dutch-English and English-Dutch.

If you are a little further along, you can also buy a dictionary that is only in Dutch. That book also costs 30 to 50 euros.

Your initial investment is around 100 to 150 euros. You may also be able to find the dictionaries second-hand. At bookstore De Slegte you can find many second-hand books.

Pineto Taaldiensten does not sell course books. You can buy the books yourself. Of course I can help you choose the right books. You can read more about the course books on the ABOUT LEARNING DUTCH page.

How can you pay for the lessons?

After we have agreed how many lessons you want to take, I will send an email with the payment details. You can then transfer it by bank. It is also possible to pay in cash at the start of the lesson.

VAT

No VAT is charged for the lessons. Language education is exempt from VAT. This only applies if you are taking the lessons as a private individual.

If the customer is a company and offers lessons via Pineto Taaldiensten to employees, VAT will be charged. The rate is 21%. However, Pineto Taaldiensten uses a special fiscal arrangement for small companies (KOR). This means that, subject to conditions, no VAT is charged to companies.
